Raves & Rants: Instagram's Recommended Page

So I've finally deviated from Twitter! It's about time since I spend most of my time on Instagram. One of the newest features on Instagram is their Recommended Page. The geniuses behind Instagram decided to get rid of the Popular page which was filled with all of the pictures that got the most likes and had the most comments and replaced it with the Recommended Page which curates a series of posts that are in line with your interests based on the people you follow, the hashtags you search, and the pictures you like. I never had a problem with the Popular Page. In fact I was a little upset when I found out it was gone. But now that I think about it , it was just full of pictures from the same accounts and its only purpose was to tell me what kind of pictures where in style and who was making the most buzz. Now I use the Recommended Page regularly to find brands and bloggers that I like. I've found countless things I love through it and have even made a couple of features because of it. I even got 100 likes on one of my pictures (which is a BIG deal for a girl who's lucky to get 15 on a good day!) because it matched a hashtag I used with other users it who searched. This is probably one of the best things that's ever happened to Instagram. Ya know, since they still haven't added clickable links to picture captions. If you haven't checked it out yet drop everything and do so now. You can thank me later.
