Sunglasses Fit For An [Victoria's Secret] Angel

When I was in the sixth grade Miley Cyrus became the face of Degree OMG! Moments deodorant. This was at the peak of her Disney career and my love for all things Hannah Montana so it's not surprising that during my first trip to Walmart after the announcement I went and got myself not one but two sticks of the advertised deodorant. Every time I applied it I felt like a superstar. Miley Cyrus was cool, rich, pretty, and popular and by using the same deodorant she used I felt cool, rich, pretty, and popular too. This was my mentality in elementary school and it hasn't changed much since. If I wear a product designed by, worn on, or even associated with a celebrity I like I automatically feel more glamorous.

Everyone has something that a celebrity they love has designed, worn, or advertised that makes them feel a bit more like that celebrity every time they wear it. And if you don't you're about to because Warby Parker just released their Karlie Kloss capsule collection which features three sunglasses designed by Karlie Kloss herself. The model-turned-designer has already made a name for herself in the fashion industry as the ultimate Glamour Girl. She has a killer catwalk, supports the causes she cares about, and has a reputation as a super sweet and down-to-earth girl next door.

All of the sunglasses in the collection have a feminine feel while remaining versatile for all of your summertime needs. They each feature a wire frame with two choices of lens colors. I've had my eye on The Clara which channels your inner Hollywood glamour with big, rounded lenses and your choice of a copper or sepia tint. But my one true love when it comes to sunglasses is aviator style. No matter how many pairs I buy I always go back to them as my safety net. I love the mix of California cool and European chic that makes aviators laid back but still fancy and dressed up. So I guess if I were to really choose a pair from the Karlie Kloss x Warby Parker collection it would be The Julia with Indigo Wash lenses. I could wear them on a quick run to Walmart or a day at Panama City Beach (oh, how I miss last summer!) or just to walk out and get the mail because why not. Honestly though, why should a girl have to choose just one?! Why not buy them all! Especially since a portion of every sale will go towards Edible Schoolyard NYC, an organization that provides low-income schools with the tools necessary for a healthy lifestyle. On top of that, for every pair sold Warby Parker donates a pair of glasses to someone in need. If I haven't convinced you to buy the whole collection yet you have some serious willpower. Just let go and buy yourself a pair or two. Treat yo' self!
